We offer the opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about our Catholic faith focusing on the teachings and experience of Church. You are welcome to participate in the process with questions, insights, and your faith story in a warm, accepting setting.
What is OCIA? The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (previously called RCIA), is a process through which adults explore becoming members of the Roman Catholic Church. What is involved in the process? This is your journey so we encourage self-ownership and self-discovery throughout the process along with inviting questions and open dialogue. You will meet with the OCIA leaders on a regular basis to guide you and are expected to attend Mass and other special events to enrich your experience. Learning materials will be provided at no charge to you including a Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and other OCIA materials. This period of preparation will take about a year for most people but depending on individual circumstances, may take longer.
For more information: Pick up an OCIA brochure in the church vestibule (view online here) or contact the parish office and provide your name, phone number and email address so someone can contact you.
